This is compulsory before commencing personal training. This provides the perfect opportunity for you to see the gym, meet your trainer and get across exactly what it is you are looking to achieve. For us it is the perfect time to retrieve all the information we need to make the process as smooth as possible for you and to make sure we are safe to proceed to training. This will last approx 40 mins.

I have extensive experience in providing training to clients from all walks of life with varying goals. From office bound professionals to young athletes, I adapt all my training to suit the individual, creating an effective and maintainable plan to reach the goals you desire.
I gained my knowledge over many years of studying my passion which was a hobby and is now my livelihood. I have previously served in the British army, been an armed private security operative and played rugby throughout my life to a good standard, my main passion is resistance training but I’m not shy when it comes to getting the heart rate up to its higher figures.
Turning my passion for fitness into a career alongside my full time role within education, I qualified as a personal trainer during lockdown in 2021. I ran competitively until my late teens, then found a love for resistance training, but had no idea what I was doing until I got the help of a coach. My favourite training style is ‘hybrid’, mixing resistance & aerobic training, ensuring you get the best out of your sessions. I am a ball of energy & invest into my clients individually, sessions are guaranteed to be fun. I have long standing clients achieving realistic results. I believe in real transformations, not ‘quick’ or ‘fad’ ones, still ‘living your best life’ and doing all your favourite things, whilst improving your fitness, mindset & aesthetics. For me, health is about working towards certain goals & ensuring your mind is at its best, then the aesthetic results follow. I pride myself in teaching women how to lift & train properly, giving the knowledge to go off & do it alone, I love seeing people get the bug for training. When you are looking for a coach or trainer you want a voice of reason, someone to be accountable too, someone who can read the room and when a harsh word or the gently “We will get it next week” approach is required – with Gaz that is just what you get with his services as well as his knowledge on the gym floor.
My trainer style is very client-focused; tailoring sessions to suit my client’s likes/dislikes & strengths/limitations. No matter the goal; weight loss, strength, mobility etc., using a variety of training styles and putting a big focus on movement/form, all of my clients are pushed to their limits without over doing it. Whether a performance goal or general health, I am keen to help anyone become a better version of themself.
From my master’s degree, I have gained additional knowledge & interest in exercise testing & prescription for medical conditions; and so understand the importance of diet & exercise in the management of long-term conditions (inc. MS, asthma, diabetes, obesity, cardiac & cancer). I have also developed a special interest in exercise during the ageing process, working with older adults to regain mobility as well as improve age-related loss of strength. However, due to my experience in youth sport; coaching lacrosse at club, county & regional level, I am also happy to work with young athletes (10+) who want to improve their strength & fitness for their chosen sport.
